1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) website and services (collectively, "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana).

2. The Service

Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) is a cultural education platform that provides articles, historical records, language guides, folktales, festival information, quizzes, and community features focused on Ghanaian heritage. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

3. Your Account

To access certain features you must register for an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Be at least 13 years of age. Younger children may use Kids Arena without an account while supervised by a parent or guardian.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password confidential and not share access to your account with others.
• Notify us immediately at legal@memanghana.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User Content

You may submit comments, cultural contributions, and other content to the platform ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to review, edit for clarity or format, reproduce, publish, display, archive and promote that content in connection with operating and explaining the Service. This licence continues for material already published or incorporated into the cultural archive, subject to applicable privacy and legal rights.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. By submitting content you represent that you have the rights to do so and that it does not violate any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these terms or that we determine is harmful to the platform or its community.

All submissions must follow our Community Guidelines and Copyright & Takedown Policy.

5. Prohibited Use

When using Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana), you must not:

• Post content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, or defamatory.
• Impersonate any person, organisation, or cultural authority.
• Send unsolicited messages or spam to other users.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without our prior written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, phishing content, or other harmful material.
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable Ghanaian or international law.

6. Intellectual Property

The Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) platform — including its source code, design, branding, logos, and original written content — is the intellectual property of Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without explicit written permission.

Historical and cultural content on the platform may be sourced from public domain records, community contributors, or third-party rights holders. Attribution is provided where applicable. If you believe content on the platform infringes your intellectual property rights, contact legal@memanghana.com.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided for educational and cultural purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) makes no warranty — express or implied — that the cultural, historical, or linguistic information on the platform is complete, current, or free from error. Cultural traditions vary by region, family, and interpretation; information is shared in good faith based on available sources and community knowledge.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana) and its officers, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, profits, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or GHS 100, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or if your conduct is harmful to other users, to the platform, or to the cultural mission of Me Man Ghana (My Country Ghana). You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Sections 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
